Bill and I were so excited last night to finally get to watch some of the Olympics! We've both been too busy to sit down and enjoy the games. We were especially sad to miss the opening ceremonies last Saturday---that's always my favorite part and something I usually never miss! I'm hoping to figure out a way to watch a re-run or maybe rent a DVD or something? Any ideas?
We got to watch Michael Phelps make history last night with his swimming records! What a cool thing to see "live". He is amazing. We also watched the synchronized diving event and were pretty impressed with that. Usually I make a point to watch the women's gymanstics events but last night I was too pooped to keep watching. :(
Our friend Brandon at church won a gold medal in wrestling in the 2000 games...he is one of the humblest, godliest people I know. Here is a link to an article about him...very cool!

You can catch it on Youtube. I watched it there. The Olympics come on a messed up schedule over here on our military channels. So I just watched it on that.
